Koh Rong is located about 25 kilometers from Sihanoukville, in the Gulf of Thailand. The island has 43 km of beautiful sandy beaches along both its Eastern and Western shores; its main attraction. Koh Rong island is a relatively new commune, only established in 2000. In order to boost development, Koh Rong has had a land concession issued by the Cambodian government. Most of the island's surface is covered by forest. To into Koh Rong we need travel by boat. Everyday have slow boat 2 or 3 and takes 2 hour but fast boat takes 40 minutes-1 hour. There is not roads on the island yet so the only way to get around is on foot.
For stay We can stayed at a place called La Mami, one of the first home stays on the island or go to Sihanouk province.
There are beautiful beaches all over Asia but what makes Koh Rong’s beaches special are the white sands combined with the warm, shallow, clear water; little fish swimming around your toes and the lack of people.
